Pour ce troisième et dernier MEG Showcase de la douzième édition du festival, le MEG Montréal a décidé de vous en mettre plein les oreilles, et comme on n'est pas restrictifs question sensorielle, on vous en mettra aussi plein les yeux … Les artistes montréalais de Organ Mood vous feront le plaisir de vous immerger dans leur live, fait de compositions visuelles et sonores, une expérience à vivre de toute urgence! Enfin The Popopopops DJ Set viendra clore en beauté une édition qui s'annonce d'ores et déjà des plus prometteuses …

Organ Mood est un concept rafraîchissant au confluent de l'art conceptuel et des musiques électroniques. Présentés au Showcase MEG Repérages@Divan Orange, le duo montréalais offre une performance bluffante à quatre projecteurs mariant son et image. Cristo aka Christophe Lamarche pour la musique (aussi présent chez les groupes The Man Machine et ex-Sexyboy) et Mjack aka Mathieu Jacques pour la conception visuelle sont les pères de Organ Mood.
En 2008 le duo se met en scène au sein d'une installation visuelle et artistique jouant sur l'interaction et l'immersion du spectateur en le plaçant au cœur de leur création. Des compositions, loops, synthé et drums toujours ajustées à des représentations visuelles, déploiement chamarré de formes géométriques abstraites rétroprojetées sur un public ainsi magnétisé par une véritable expérience aux limites du mysticisme.

The Popopopops est avant tout un vrai groupe pop: une touche de rock, une touche d'électro et beaucoup de fun! Touché par des références hétéroclites le groupe s'inspire à la volée de New Order, The Who, The Smiths, MGMT, le rock des années 70, le funk et la house music. Fidèles à leur projet initial de faire danser, le groupe étale sa fougue au cours d'un live mélangeant les genres et emportant le public au gré de leurs fraicheur et mélodies entêtantes. Un succès fulgurant qui leur permettra d'assurer les premières parties de groupes comme Diving with Andy ou Pony Pony Run Run. Ce soir en DJ Set pour la 1ère fois en Amérique du Nord sur le plateau du MEG Montréal!!

For the third and last MEG Showcase of the festival's twelfth edition, MEG Montreal decided to jam up your ears with pure goodness, and since we don't believe in sensorial restrictions, we will also stimulate your sight with sparkling eye candy. The Montreal artists from Organ Mood will please you by immersing the audience in their live performance made of visual and sound compositions, a must-live experience! Finally The Popopopops DJ Set will give closure to this year's promising edition of the MEG Montreal Showcases at Divan Orange presented by CISM 89.3 FM.

Organ Mood is a refreshing concept with the confluence of conceptual art and electronic music. Presented at the MEG Scouting Showcase @ Divan Orange last February, this Montreal-basde duet offers a striking performance with four projectors marrying sound and image. Cristo aka Christope Lamarche for music (also a band member of The Man Machine and the late group Sexyboy) and Mjack aka Mathieu Jacques for the visual design are together the founding fathers of Organ Mood.

In 2008 the duet is propelled on stage with a visual and artistic installation exploiting the interaction with the spectator and his immersion into the heart of the group's creation. Compositions, loops, synths, drums that are always adjusted to the visual representations, and deployments adorned with abstract geometrical forms that are projected onto an audience that is indeed magnetized by this mystic experience.

The Popopopops are before all an authentic pop band: a touch of rock, a trace of electro, and lots of fun! Marked by heteroclite references, the group is inspired by New Order, The Who, The Smiths, MGMT, 70s rock, funk and house music. Loyal to their initial project aiming countless hours of dance, the band spreads out its ardour throughout live performances that mix several musical genres and carry the public to a peak of freshness and haunting melodies. A fulgurating success which allowed them to open concerts for Diving with Andy and Pony Pony Run Run. Tonight in DJ Set for the first time in North America as part of MEG Montreal's eclectic lineup!
