Richie Hawtin’s label minus is celebrating the past 10 successful
years with the unique series of Contakt Events.
At the end of the Popkomm week in Berlin, Contakt is coming for it’s
one and only stopover in Germany, on October 11th.
What’s coming your way?

A Contakt event is a completely different experience than a regular
Minus showcase. Richie Hawtin, Magda, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle,
Gaiser and Heartthrob each showcase their unique style while
working together to create an integrated mix and overall musical
journey. Rather than a typical schedule of one set after another
there is an integration of performances, smooth transitions
and live collaborations resulting in a musical experience born out
of improvisation and spontaneity.

Next to the residents, Dubfire, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Niederflur
– live and Ambivalent will be part of the show at Contakt Berlin.
Custom Lighting innovative LED technology enhances the musical
performance of the artists. Ali Demirel, working alongside Richie
Hawtin and the other artists, delivers a visual performance with the
same type of improvisation and integration as the musical
experience.

Another exclusive Contakt experience is the custom built Cube. Using
wireless technology, this LED device is center of a communications
network, strengthening the connection between the audience and the
performing artists.

The Cube’s WLAN allows anyone with a portable wireless device to
interact with the artists on stage and get access to live feeds and
exlcusive content.

It is especially this interaction, that connects audience and
performers, allowing direct contact and creating deeper
connectivitiy than is normally available at this type of event.
Each Contakt Event is unique and the experience will continue to
grow and evolve as new technologies are explored.
