« Giretto », a new looking italian word that was created by Motel 1989 to describe a small tour…Conducted by K_ribù, a small « giro » in Paris will lead us to meet emerging electronic artists as well as some of these lovely alternative places with an artistic direction (and a minimum of equipement like turntables !!!) that make the underground quality of the parisian nightlife.

MYAKO

Myako in the world of electronic music started at the age of 18 in the city of Nantes in 2003.

She organized parties and different mixes of current electronic music, micromusic, minimal techno and IDM, ghetto chicago house

Since that date, she has continued to develop her skills of mixing through the software traktor, while gradually exploring the area's flagship live incorporating original compositions in her sets. Her aim is to offer a benefit 100% live (Elektron drum machine, ableton, and controller).

During this long period of learning and development, she collaborated with French producers such as Auddie and Modish Robot, in which she integrated the net label Martialfunk, or "Robonom" (composed by Phil shakes, DAC and Klayton ken). A physical release for autumn 2010 with the Austrian label Comfortzone…

Her biography lists already past gigs with artists like: Thomas Brinkmann, Jeff Mills, Monolake, Portable, Chloé or Alex Under. ..

K_RIBU

Foundator of Fresh Air Paris (co-production of 2 festivals at Batofar), artistic director for Urban Rescue during 2 years (parties Zbell Monday, @Zbell, about 60 events !), K_ribu "escaped" from Paris to Genova to restart production...Now living back in Paris, co foundator / artistic director & dj resident for Motel 1989 (Genova, Italy), launching "Giretto" to renew with the pleasure of playing "at home" as well as to give a better picture about the parisian trends out of Paris…


TOM SELECT

Coming from the crossing of a headphone and a turntable Tom Select began to travel in many records shops all around europe to get a wide collection of vinyls and then began to mix in differents Bars in Paris.
After a while in the south of france where he got different residence and worked for the famous Hi hotel is back in Paris to spead his sound for the Giretto crew traveling around black music, fresh edits, and deep house.
