Communiqué Kozzmozz
As usual for New Years we have something special planned, only this year it’s even more special than usual because we embark on a new adventure in a completely new venue for Kozzmozz. A great industrial warehouse with lots of parking-facilities on the outskirts of Ghent : Galveston here we come !
To celebrate this new venue in grand style we have moved Kozzmozz to New Years eve and will continue the festivities with Muzzic on January 1st in the Ballroom of Vooruit.
On New Years eve we present you two rooms, two styles, two concepts!
The main room will represent the one and only Kozzmozz atmosphere with those techno dj’s that we hold dearly in our harts. First of all, Steve Rachmad, our former resident who has been making a bit of a come back on Kozzmozz the last years with several mind blowing performances. So he had to be part of this new chapter in the Kozzmozz history !
Deetron last joined us on our 10th anniversary but has in the meantime released his debut-album ‘Twisted’ on Music Man Records so what better time to ask him again !
Obviously we also invited some new names on Kozzmozz. A visit from Belgian top-producer Fabrice Lig was long overdue so we are setting the record straight. Especially after the wonderful ‘Best of Fabrice Lig’ compilation on Technorient and his recent remixes of DJ 3000 amongst others.
And Kozzmozz wouldn’t be Kozzmozz without a live-act so Redshape Live will be joining us from Berlin. He has several releases in the pipe-line, both on Delsin Records from Holland, Styrax and Music man Records. Watch this guy!
In the second room we feature our newest concept Ultra which is dedicated to the more minimalistic side of techno.
And here we’ve got one of the originators and instigators with Daniel Bell from Detroit. He worked a lot with Richie Hawtin on Plus 8 during the nineties and is now running 7th City as well as other labels. Mix cd’s from him appeared on Tresor and Logistic.
He will be joined by the cream of the Belgian minimal scene : Darko from the famous Statik Dancin’ parties in Brussels, Franco Cangelli who’s just launched the Aesthetik label with Akî and also produces for Sushitech and Toys for Boys, Akî his label partner and Ultra resident Spacid.
